china
hey !!once again... im back...well ive been in china recently...shanghai to be more specific... anyways shanghai was good... erm... im talking about the standard of living here... cause compared to yunnan and chendu , shanghai was kinda good... cause... firstly... the toilets didnt stink... secondly... the toilets didnt stink... and thirdly the toilets didnt stink...i think you should get the point now...
on the day that we were supposed to leave,(at around 10 pm) my mom went into panic mode... so much so that by the time we were supposed to leave... she was kinda silent... whaha ...anyways we camped in my parents room... in the airconditioning...cause we were wearing long sleeved things and jeans which were damn thick and warm...and we didnt really want to get all hot and sweaty... yea...so blah blah blah...we went took the plane to china... kinda pathetic... it was small...yea...constantly prayed...cause the plane seemed fragile...whaha...touched down in china anyways...met our tour guide...mr chao...he was damn funny lah...then calling all the guys shuai ge and the girls mei nu...anyways...we took a boat trip... it was kinda nice...along the shanghai river... cause firstly the waters were serene... and the buildings were victorian ...as in they were like the kinda buildings we would see in london... those oldish buildings...yea...then there were these super tall skyscrapers....that had super nice spot lights shining into the nothingness...whaha...so that was the really nice thing that we did on day one...
we also visited suzhou and hangzhou....yea... there was a town there... which had alot of streams flowing through it... kinda like venice...then its said that lijiang was modelled after the cities...then we also saw jaychous club...guan something...forgot...whaha...it was just awesome...yea...but in the whole shanghai trip...the thing that left the biggest impact on me was the visit to the nanking war memorial...when we walked in... the mood was damn solemn...then the tour guide brought us to this wall... on the wall was like many names lah... then i was like did so many people die during the invasion of nanking?? and the tourguide said that there are only 3000 names on the wall... and 300,000 people died during the invasion...we then proceeded into a place shoiwing the bones of the people who died... it was damn cruel lah... like there was this lady who had a nail hammered through her left temple through her right temple...and they even killed children as there were bones of 3 year olds... we then went into the hall with exhibits... there were many photos one of them showing a baby crying amid a pile of debris...they also showed pictures of people getting decapitated and also the decapitated heads...also...they captured the chinese youth and tied them to the croses and used them for live target practice...shooting them with their guns and stabbing them with their bayonets...the japs also raped the females over there...not even sparing the old and pregnant...and its like they disembowled a pregnant female after raping here...cutting out her foetus...and also some there were 2 jap soldiers who competed in killing the highest number of chinese...it was only then that i finally understood the grief and hurt and hatred that the chinese felt for the japs...yea...on the last tour day... we visited the sunzhongsun tomb...it was kinda cool...they had a statue of him there...and also... we visited his tomb site... they didnt bury him into the ground...and they built a statue of his body and placed it above his body...yea...it was kinda freaky... seeing a tomb...yea...so that is about all the interesting things that happened in shanghai...thats all ... thanks for reading:)
